Responsibilities:
This is my third year at Martins Mill ISD.  I am proudly apart of the Math Department teaching Algebra 1. On the athletics side, I am the head girls basketball coach and head track coach as well as the girls coordinator. Coach Watters and I are co-sponsors of FCA and sponsor of a new organization in it's second year TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators). I am excited about the 2014-2015 school year and God's plan while I am here in the Mill for another year.

About Me

This summer was by far the best summer of my life. On June 17 I gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby girl Kylee Ryan-Lane Jenkins weighing 7lbs 1oz and 19.25" long. She has brought pure joy to mine and my husbands lives. She wakes with a smile and loves the mornings! We are enjoying every moment and can't wait to see her continue to grow into a bright young girl.

I was raised and graduated in Crandall with two amazing parents and two older sisters. I then went to college at Texas A&M-Commerce where I received my Bachelors in Mathematics. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher from a young age. I love being at school and witnessing kids learning daily. This will be my fifth year teaching.

I am happily married to my husband, Kyle who supports me in everything I do. We have one daughter and hope to be blessed with a big family one day. We have a small dog named Tag. I love being an aunt as well to Adlee, Carson, Emma, Isaac, Logan and Haily! I love sports. Our television at home stays on ESPN. I love to scrapbook and pinterest projects.

Some of my favorites include:
Color - Green
Drink - Sweet tea
Food - Mexican
Movie - Rudy
Sport - Basketball
College - Longhorns and Duke
NBA team - Mavericks
MLB team - Rangers
NFL team - Cowboys and Patriots
Nascar driver - Jimmie Johnson.

I strongly believe hard work pays off. Everyday in class my students will work hard for the full time allotted in class. We stay busy in class daily and if time is not used wisely students will have homework regularly. In my classroom I teach in a variety of ways to incorporate all learning styles including, lecture, cooperative learning, partner work, whole group discovery and many more. I am dedicating this year to technology, foldables and writing across the curriculum including blog post. All summer I searched for new innovative ways to use technology in the classroom. You can find more information under the "Technology" tab above.

I am truly blessed for the life God has given me. My faith lives in Him and I know that all things happen for a reason.

Matthew 7:12 "So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets."

Proverbs 16:9 "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."

Romans 8:28 "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans."
