A great coach is also a great teacher! I love that my job gives me the opportunity to mold and lead young kid's lives and show them how to be successful not only in the athletics but also in the classroom and after they graduate from Martin's Mill.

Personal Statement

“If you want to achieve greatness in anything, you need the same resolve and discipline.”

I love working with young kids, and I am truly thankful I have the ability and chance to work with them for the forgoing future. There are certain things I believe are essential to ensure success in an athletic program. I believe that you have to build a relationship with your athletes. Kids do not care about what you know until they know how much you care about them as an individual and that you want what is best for them at all times. I believe in discipline on the court as well as off. It is the responsibility of the coach to support the personal growth of each athlete to ensure that they will be productive citizens beyond athletics. I am not just teaching my kids about a subject field or sport, I am most importantly teaching them about life.

I am married to my beautiful wife Amanda. I am entering my 7th year coaching and  6th year teaching. I am beyond excited to start this new year and journey.

Those who reach the top of the mountain didn't get there by falling there. Its a day by day process of hard work and determination to reach your goals and be the best you can be. Never give up! Work hard! Have faith! Dream big!

Don't give up on your dreams, or your dreams will give up on you- John Wooden

Success is never final, failure is never fatal, it's courage that counts- John Wooden

My ambition in high school was to be a high school coach and teacher, and that's still what I do: teach- Coach K
