Marie Osborne

Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!  I will be teaching English 2, English 2 Honors, English 3 and 8th Grade Language.  I am also the GT teacher for 7th and 8th graders and the debate coach.

This is my 25th year as a teacher and my 9th at MM.  Working in this community has proven to be some of the most rewarding time of my career as a teacher. I love this school and community. I am passionate about helping my students become better readers, writers, and people. I enjoy seeing my students grow.

My fave book. I hope it will be one of yours when you leave English 2.

I am a graduate of Mabank High School, Tyler Junior College, and The University of Texas at Tyler.  I hold teaching certifications in Secondary English, ESL, Speech Communications, and Elementary Education.

I enjoy being "domestic."  I love cooking, baking, decorating, and flower gardening. My family and I live in a hundred-year-old house that we have been working on for a while.  I call my style "Grandma's House" even though I am not a Grandma yet.  We have a bratty cat, an energetic kitten, and two sweet dogs.

Meet the Osborne Family:
We are a close family and enjoy spending time together at worship, camping, and just enjoying laughing at home.  Robert and I have been married for nearly 30 years.

Our daughters Autumn and Chloe

Chloe is a graduate of the Art Institute of Dallas with a degree in Culinary Arts - Baking and Pastry.  She is currently a nanny and does her baking on the side.

Autumn is a graduate of UT Tyler and will be teaching Spanish here this year.  She is engaged to be married next summer.

Both my daughters are Lularoe clothing consultants also.

Our son Chandler is a graduate of Tyler Junior College in Automotive Technology.  He now works as an auto tech at Teague Chevrolet in Mabank.

I am very close to my extended family - my parents, my brothers, and their families.
