9:15-10:30 Reading groups, independent work, stations

10:30-10:55 Morning message, big book, Math meeting

10:55-11:25 Lunch

11:25-12:30 Restroom break and math

12:30-1:00 Social Studies or Science

1:00-1:45 PE

1:45-2:00

2:00-2:30 Computer Wednesday, Friday

Library Thursday

2:30-2:45 Snack and Read aloud

2:45-3:00 Recess

3:00-3:15 Pack up for home/ Review the day, closing activities

Remember that starting in October we started Book-it. Your child needs to read each night. When they read for 150 minutes a month and return the reading log, they will receive a coupon for a free personal pizza from Pizza Hut. Yummy!

Don’t forget to save box tops, Campbell’s soup labels, Nestle’s water bottle labels, old cell phones and ink cartridges, Community coffee labels and the tabs from drink cans. We can earn a lot of money from these items for our school. This is an on going competition between classes. So, help first grade win, win, win!!!

Read book bag and library books every night. The AR party for this 6 weeks is a bounce house slide. The party will be on November. So, read, read, read!!!

Math:

Practice counting, patterns, sorting, adding (+0, +1), subtracting, double facts, and counting.

Our class has basketball players that we have adopted. They are Clayton, Cara, and Rachel. We cheer for them at the pep rallies, make notes and cards for them, and give them gifts of their favorite goodies.
