"Effective, Efficient
Effort
Will Produce
Excellence in Education"

I begin my fourth year here at Martins Mill with this being the first year as Superintendent. I am proud to be a part of such a fine school and community. I thank God everyday that He has placed me in such a fine school district. I personally can attest to the hard work our staff and students put forward to achieve success in academics and athletics.

As Superintendent, I am looking forward to another great year. Last year was one of the best in the history of our school as many great accomplishments were achieved. Some highlights were:  Exemplary Elementary Campus, Recognized High School, Recognized District, Texas Business & Education Coalition Achievement Award, Boy's Basketball State Finalist, Girl's Basketball State Semi-Finalist, State Champion Literary Criticism Team, State Champion Current Events Team, Regional Finalist Softball Team, Girl's Cross Country State Qualifying Team, State Runner Up Girls Golf Team and many others. Our staff and students are already working hard to try to achieve even more this year.

Many things are changing in education. No Child Left Behind has taken our system in a somewhat different direction. A small rural school like Martin's Mill is being required to produce students that are ready for college as well as the real world they will face when the graduate. I am amazed at the committment of the community, school board, teachers and students to rise up to the challenge.

The future looks good here at Martins Mill. We are ready for the challenges that face us in 2007-2008.
