My name is Audra Latimer, and I am so excited to be your principal at Martin’s Mill High School! I am a married mother of two wonderful sons, and I am beginning my 12th year in education. My first year in education, I served as a campus secretary at an elementary school, followed by being a paraprofessional the next year. In 2011, I graduated from Texas A & M-Commerce with my bachelor’s degree and teaching certification, and I obtained my first teaching assignment, teaching 6th and 7th grade Pre-AP Science for three years. I went on to teach 5th grade science, and then high school science: chemistry and physics. In 2018, I was blessed to become the assistant principal at Winona Elementary, and while I learned so much and loved my time there, I am happy to be back in secondary. Just this year, I have obtained my superintendent certification, and I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree in educational leadership, having already completed 18 hours of study, with “just a few” more to go. Our family loves all things outdoors: swimming, hiking, camping, geocaching, hunting, fishing, and my personal favorite...kayaking. I enjoy reading, when I have the time, and I am a huge movie buff. I am looking very forward to the wonderful year we are going to have, and I am very thankful to the Lord for opening a door for me... for behind that door, I’ve found my new family at Martin’s Mill. I am truly blessed to be here!
